own Bill Kohlmeier landed in Bristol, PA some 67 years ago.There are several rivers that are around there, but
our space is too limited here to explore them.Bill grew up in Kruden, PA where he attended school,
but the high school is closed.He graduated from Hilton High School (NY) and just
recently returned from his 50th reunion, noting that he is
the youngest of the surviving graduates, because he
graduated at 16.At
age 17 Bill splashed into the Navy, and then off to college.Bill taught high school (English) in Cleveland, OH,
and in 1973 was called into the ministry.In 1990 he came to Christ Lutheran Church in
Englewood in an attempt to deal with the likes of Doug
Harder, who brought him into the club.Having somewhat succeeded, he retired a few years
been married for 45 years, has three kido’s and 6
grand-children, who are mostly in Ohio.$5 to Norm Schillo.Thanks Bill, for being part of the club.
Smith, who was all dressed up today, was our program chair.Randy introduced Susan Hartley, who is a Regional
Vice-President of Marketing for Quest.In part of her spare time, however, Susan volunteers
with the Jeffco Developmental Disabilities Resource Center,
and is on the board with Randy.She is also a Denver Business Journal nominee for
Woman of the Year, as she has a passion for serving others.Susan has a 21 year old son, Cameron,who is profoundly disabled and for whom she cares for
at home, Susan talked about the acceptance of the mentally
disabled by society, and that is continues to improve.Jeffco has a ballot election to increase the mill
level for home owners, to provide additional funds for the
average increase per household would be $13.18 per year.The money will be used to assist kids staying at home
and adults to find jobs or have day care.There are many disabled people who reside in the
three state institutions, but more room is needed, as there
is a waiting time of between 8-15– years.Thanks Susan for all you do.
