Just go to the Home Page at and click the button on the left labeled “Foundation”. If you have any other ideas pertaining to this, let Tim know.

Doug Harder had is Past Presidents meeting after last week’s lunch. They are looking to fill the Officer positions for the next year and may have to have some members stay on the job they hold now or take another position OR you may be asked to do a job you just did a couple years ago. Since our membership is going down, we need all the help we can get so if you are just sitting there enjoying yourself, step up and help out. Names were put to the positions and those lucky people will be contacted. The club is only as strong as the membership wants it to be.

Bob Buckland and maybe Scott Manley will be attending a meeting April 1st to see what can be done with the money raised in the past “Walk’s” that was held a couple years ago and the money that is sitting in the bank that hasn’t been donated yet. No mention of what took place if they did indeed attend.

news_l6.gif SERTOMAN OF THE DAY:

Sertoman of the Day:    John Vierthaler was on a roll today but the President had to use his hook to get him off the stage. John was born in 1941, the son of Immigrants. His Father is from Austria and fought in WWI for the Kaiser. His mother was from the Austria-Hungarian Empire. They both immigrated to Pittsburgh, PA independently and met while they lived there. John was born in Pittsburgh and grew up on the Ohio River.

John went to Aspen Wall HS in Aspen Wall, PA. It was torn down about 10 years after he graduated. John went on to Grove City College in Grove City, PA., a private college founded by the heirs of the Sun Oil Company. It is a very independent college.

In 1963, he was in Air Force ROTC because they had mandatory military service and paid $30 a month. Graduated with a commission as a 2nd Lt. Spent 3 years in Atlanta, "defending our nation". Went to Law School at Emery University in Atlanta, GA at night. Got out of the military and transferred all his credits to the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law and graduated a year later. Worked for Alcoa as a corporate attorney. Later went to work for his father-in-law. By this time he was up to three kids. The family used to come up to Colorado to ski. After four years of trips, Brenda, his wife, convinced John to move to Colorado. He moved out with two adults, three kids, two dogs, and two cats. (They lost one of their cats in Russell, Kansas).

Brenda passed away a few years ago, then he was remarried for a short time and now he is married to Cindy who has a 16 year old daughter (Cindy and the daughter won 1st & 3rd place in this years K-1 racing event). He used to farm but gave that up last year. . Name of the farm is “Four Valley Farm” because in Austrian his name translates into "four valleys". . He does not plan on retiring any time soon since he still has about a 4 year lease on his building.

Program: Doug Harder filled in for Randy Smith and introduced Dr. Jeff Kowachik, DC. Dr. Jeff’s talk today is on “How to Transform Stress into Happiness, Health and Success”.

Dr. Jeff started out by telling us a little about his history. He is a Chiropractor by trade but spent many years in the restaurant business before going back to school. In the restaurant business, he did a lot of traveling doing openings, worked on different franchises, working 60 hours plus and all in all, had a lot of stress. He got on different medications, scheduled for surgeries and tried many things until he met a wellness practitioner and understanding how stress was affecting him and what it would take to transform that.

Dr. Jeff Kowachik is a Human Potentials expert and has dedicated his life to helping others overcome their physical, mental and emotional blocks so they can live life fully and experience higher levels of health, happiness and success in their lives. Dr. Jeff discovered while working with 1000’s of patient in his chiropractic practice that most people are not experiencing the highest levels of health, happiness and success they deserve because of limiting beliefs and physiological blocks that required a combination of techniques including nutrition, personal development training, meditation and functional neurology. As he searched for answers to help his patients he drew on experiences from his past that allowed him to overcome his own health challenges and difficulties with mental focus that kept him from achieving his dreams despite taking numerous personal and business development programs. That is when he discover the keys to overcoming the effects of stress and how reprogram the mind and body for success.        Listen to Dr. Jeff.mp3      (the email address on his cards is not correct, it should be
