news_l6.gif SERTOMAN OF THE DAY:

Sertoman of the Day:    John Laudermilk’s family is from Germany and a lot of milk producers used to water down the milk to make more profit and Laudermilk means “good milk”. Born in August 19, 1941, just before WW-II and a couple of his favorite TV channels are the Science and History channels and his single favorite TV show is Big Bang Theory.

John started to join the Army but then decided to go into the Air Force since he loved airplanes and machinery. On the day John left, it was storming so his dad gave him a $20 bill for cab fair to the train station to go to Baltimore. One of his dad’s pieces of advice was to “listen and keep your mouth shut”

John was in The 8th Air Force Hundredth Bomb Wing which consisted of B-17 bombers and recently he saw a TV show about the Wing called The Bloody Hundredth. (John gave some more info on this, listen to his audio). He liked the Air Force but decided if he had to do it over gain, he would join the Navy because they had better food.

John worked for AT&T for years.
John’s nick-name is Goat Head…..when playing golf, his golf partners (Doug and Ed) kept telling him to “Go Ahead” but John thought they were saying Goat Head.

John is married and has two boys. Doug and Ed brought him into the club in 2015. John claimed to “not be a joiner” but he came and really enjoyed the club so he joined.    Listen to John Laudermilk.mp3

Program:  Doug Harder introduced Tim Bullard. Tim is the son of an old friend of some of the Arapahoe members. Tim is a sales rep for LL Johnson distributing Co. and sells Toro lawn care equipment. He contacts the superintendents of golf courses, parks, school districts, sports fields such as Coors Field and the like.

Tim started out working at Cherry Hills Country Club working on the grounds crew at the age of 14. He did that for a couple years and really liked taking care of turf and trees and bushes so he went to college at CSU, getting a degree in landscaping horticulture with a concentration in turf grass management, graduating in 1980 and became the superintendent at Valley Country Club. Shortly after starting that gig, he was fired and went into sales and Toro is the equipment he sells, traveling the northern part of Colorado, So. Wyoming and the Pan Handle of Nebraska.

Listen to Tim Bullard.mp3   For an idea of some of the equipment that Tim sells, look at this web page:
