Fry relayed a message on from George Hannes that you are all welcome to stop by George’s any time for a visit.

John Laudermilk has submitted an application for membership; this is his “third” publication of said app.

Western Welcome Week turned out great with a deposit of $865 net. Thanks to all that helped out. Some of the left over lemons will get donated to the food bank.

Jim Rees has more gift cards (King Soopers), get a card or use the one you have to help offset the clubs expenses. If you need a replacement, you need to get it from Jim, not Kings Soopers. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough purchases to make the quota to get a check but will carry over to the next month.

Remember, if you bring in a new member and he stays 6 months, you get Free Dues - per new member for a quarter.

news_l6.gif SERTOMAN OF THE DAY:

Sertoman of the Day:   Today’s SOD is Ed Bezjak, who grew up in the Globeville area of Denver and after various grade schools, attended Annunciation High School. As part of the parochial league, Ed and his team mates held their own against rivals such as Regis.

Ed met Margie in 1955 and was married to her for 60 years until her death this year. They have 2 daughters and 3 grandkids. All are above average. One of his daughters is deaf and after collage, Ed wanted her to come back to Denver to work for which Ed thought he could get her a job but she stayed back east and has been working for Homeland Security for several years.

In 1992, Ed was inducted into the Colorado Softball Hall of Fame which indicates he had a fair amount of talent in that sport. Ed has been in Sertoma over 40 years and was brought into the club by Doug Harder. Ed was the original captain of bingo and figures he has rode that horse long enough. Listen to Ed Bezjak.mp3
