Tim announced there will be a meeting for the Foundation members after lunch Feb 15th.

Announcements:   Pat has visted with Dave Penland the last couple days and gave him the money that was raised last week. Dave has suffered with MS for more than 30 years, the Dr’s gave him only 9 months to live..12 months ago. Colorado now has the Right to Die law but the cost of the 4 pills runs about $3,000 for which Dave doesn’t have. The club “passed the hat” to take a collection to help Dave in his future decision.

A sign-up sheet was passed around for the International Presidents Reception. Cheryl Cherney is the President and the event will be held the night before the Freedom Week Lunch. Monday Feb. 19th @ 6:30 at Southglenn County Club. 5 members have signed up so far.

Dave Miley has again scheduled the Annual K1 Speed go-kart races for April 13th @ 6pm sign-in.   It’s been a lot of fun so get your racing gear ready and try to beat the past winners at their own game.

Don is having a meeting with our new web site developer Karie next Wed. and asked for help from the membership on ideas going forward as to what we can use the new site for and anyone wanting to help with the development of the web site.      No one volunteered.

It’s your web site too so please get involved to some degree or we are just wasting money that is hard to come by. I think we need a couple raffle events a year to make it worthwhile.
If you think of anything we can raffle off, let us know, a car, a building lot, a cemetery plot etc.

Karie, our new web page programmer, has a new temporary Home Page on our New Web link….    Her business is  and she built the web page for A1scuba

Program:  Glenn Combellick introduced his son Rod who came today to tell us about the state he lives in, Alaska. Rod thought it was time to pay the club back for all the free lunches he has received by putting on a slide show presentation and telling us some of the history of Alaska and of its mineral wealth---OIL & GAS. Rod has lived in Alaska since the late 1970’s and now owns and flies Glenn’s airplane, a 1973 Cessna 177 Cardinal.
