Guests:    Dave Miley introduced Art Cordova, a 1959 graduate of Englewood High: Jim Robinson introduced his LSC Vicky Oren

Fines:   Randy Smith fined Phil Grimm for singing the Sertoma song at his own pace rather than in concert with the rest of us. They yeh’s were resounding, but the nay’s from table 1 were pathetic. So Randy finded table 1 for lack of sincerity. Again the yeh’s were resounding.

Birthdays:  n/a

Announcements:   Bob Gallagher passed away and his service will be at 1: pm, Thursday February 12, at United Methodist Church 9203 So. University Blvd. Anticipate a large crowd so get there early.

Pat Mckim – The poker party will be held in April and should be bigger and better with a new venue. Price will be $65 again.

Sertoma will host the 2015 Mountain West Reginonal Convention in Estes Park in September.

Remember, if you bring in a new member and he stays 6 months, you get Free Dues - per new member for a quarter.

Program:  Randy Smith introduced DAVID HARROWER, an avid fitness advocate. It goes without saying that It is difficult to get people off of the couch and into some kind of physical activity. Harrower had pictures of several devices people use to get their bodies moving without exercise. The most intriguing was the “Hawaiian Chair” which swivels the hips as in a hula dance. If you cannot buy one for your wife, be sure to buy one for your girl friend.

The four main health hazards fitness will postpone or avoid are: cancer, stroke, heart attacks and diabetes.

Keeping fit has many positive results. You will look better, feel better, have more energy and sleep better. Fitness also has a direct effect on your earning capacity, especially for women. A Forbes survey revealed that fat ladies earned an average of $19,000 while the more fit ladies earned $32,000

One should have minimal fitness goals. Achieve a BODY MASS INDEX of 30 or less. (buy his book in order to understand what this is). Exercise at least 3.5 hours a week. Go to MEET-UP.COM on your computer and Join groups which advocate exercise. These friends will help inspire you to meet your goals.

Along with exercise is the need to eat right. Avoid “fast “ foods such as rice and potatoes and eat foods that are “slow” to digest, such as fruit and vegetables.
