Dick Enslow was born Jan 23, 1942 in Aurora, Ill., near the Fox River. He went to school in the Aurora area and received a BS in Industrial Engineering. He went to work for Allis Chalmers. He came to Denver in 1973 for a job offer and was amazed at the weather so he moved here. He went to work for Materials Handling, then went into the reverse mortgage business several years ago but after being told they were going to train him at his expense, he retired.

Dick has been married to Carol for 46 years (for a while there, we thought Carol was the SOD). She did high school teaching, and then computer sales then went to work for a travel company that got bought out by Delta. They had great benefits. She last did student information systems for the Jeffco school district until she retired in April a couple years ago.
Dick has two kids. His daughter, Kedra, who has given Dick his first grandchild. Son Brad is a couple years younger then his sister and was married recently. He plays two man sand volleyball “professionally” (about $100 a year).

Dick was drafted when he was 21 but since he had dislocated his shoulder in high school several times he was rejected at the physical, they never contacted him.
Dick has a gift from a college fraternity brother in a hunting accident. A Pheasant flew up between the 2 of them and Dick got most of the shot which is still there. The shot is lead so isn’t picked up by the airport xray machines but his 2 knee replacements do.
Dick is going to be our Sponsorship/Finance Chairman again for the new fiscal year. He was brought into the club by the honorable Bill Parchen and was President with a gold coat and gone through most chairs.

Program:   Orian Hunter introduced David Weaver, a Franchise Consultant. David Weaver has a diverse and comprehensive background to draw on as a FranChoice consultant. Having honed his business skills in a variety of ways, he now looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with others.

David was born and raised in Indiana and got his first taste of business ownership early in life. His family owned a business, and that is where, at a young age, he learned the Midwestern values of honesty and integrity in business dealings that he carries with him to this day. The entrepreneurial bug bit David early – by the age of 13 he knew he was going to own his own business someday; he felt that in order to be successful, he would need experience in four key areas - project management, sales, operations and finance - and he methodically set out to gain experience in each of them. David began his “formal” career as an employee for General Electric, where he managed program sales processes, and then moved on to managing projects for a large manufacturing company. From there, he changed gears and worked for a smaller company in order to be closer to the customers he wanted to help. Eventually the family business called him back to help it survive tough times. After ultimately finding a buyer for the family business, David spent the next six years analyzing and underwriting franchise systems across the country in order to establish the “right fit” between the franchisor, franchisee and finance company.

His intimate knowledge of franchise systems coupled with years of interaction with franchise candidates before and after they opened for business offers Mr. Weaver a true understanding of what works and what doesn’t in franchising. David is now focused on using his extensive experience to help his FranChoice candidates find the perfect fit for accomplishing what they want out of life.

David enjoys the mountains of Colorado with his two children and resides in Littleton, CO. He can be reached at or by phone at 877-933-0890.
